Job Title: Welder
Job Duties: Uses hand - welding, flame - cutting, hand soldering or brazing equipment to weld or join metal components or to fill holes, indentations or seams of fabricated metal products. Welds components in flat, vertical or overhead positions. Operates safety equipment and uses safe work habits. Lays out, positions, aligns and secures parts and assembles prior to assembly using straightedges, combination squares, calipers and rulers. Examines work pieces and defects and measures work pieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications. *Special wage rate: Work to be performed on DPRI-funded projects will be paid no less than the indicated wage rate but may be paid more where special Davis-Bacon Act rates apply.
High School Diploma Required? Yes
Qualification Requirements: 2 years as a Welder. Successful applicant must be able to obtain military base access. Off-island hires must complete a health screening prior to working in Guam.
