Job Duties: | -Provide instruction at the secondary school level in the following classes: Fundamental Math, Algebra I and Geometry. - create lesson plans for high school mathematics classes that are appropriate for the age and abilities of the students in the class. - evaluate student performances in class and on tests and provide feedback. - assign special projects to students. - communicate students’ progress to parents, particularly regarding students who need tutoring or other extra assistance. -Provide instruction at the secondary school level in the following classes: Fundamental Math, Algebra I and Geometry. - create lesson plans for high school mathematics classes that are appropriate for the age and abilities of the students in the class. - evaluate student performances in class and on tests and provide feedback. - assign special projects to students. - communicate students’ progress to parents, particularly regarding students who need tutoring or other extra assistance. - provide appropriate resources and learning materials for students. - identify varying teaching methods that work best for students who learn differently. - develop and update curriculum for the classroom. - conduct research. - encourage creativity in students. - ensure that computer equipment is functioning properly. - maintain accurate records of students’ progress in class and on examinations. - keep order in the classroom and handle student behavior issues in accordance with school system policies. - maintain an orderly classroom stocked with appropriate supplies. - run the classroom within the allocated budget. - keep all classroom work backed up. - ensure that the internet in the classroom is used only for appropriate educational purposes. - post grades and send grade reports to parents as required by the school system. |
