| Job Duties: | Perform a full range of professional microbiologist assignments in a full-functioning capacity. Isolate and identify microorganisms and maintains same in pure culture condition. Participate in microbiological, serological, hematological and virological examinations of specimens from human sources for identifying infections and determining the condition of patients. Take part in bacteriological, serological, virological, parasitological and mycological examinations in a variety of samples, specimens and products. Investigate the growth, structure, development and other characteristics of microscopic organisms, such as bacteria, algae or fungi. Maintain records and prepares reports and correspondence related to the work. Provide laboratory services for physicians needing information for diagnosis and treatment. |
