Job Duties: | Report and write stories for publication describing the background and details of events; Arrange interviews with people who can provide information about a particular story; Review copy and correct errors in content, grammar, and punctuation, following prescribed editorial style and formatting guidelines; Review and evaluate notes taken about news events to isolate pertinent facts and details; Research and analyze background in formation related to stories in order to be able to provide complete and accurate information; Gather information about events through research, interviews, experience and attendance at political, news, sports, artistic, social or other functions; Investigate breaking news developments such as disasters, crimes or human interest stories; Research and report on specialized fields such as medicine, science and technology, politics, foreign affairs, sports, arts, consumer affairs, business, religion, crime or education; Receive assignments or evaluate leads and tips to develop story ideas. |

Qualification Requirements: | Must have a bachelor's degree in Journalism, Mass Communication or related course; 48 months of work experience; Skills in writing: with a "nose for news" (i.e., ability to find newsworthy materials from routine or day-to-day occurrences); Persistence, initiative, resourcefulness; Good memory and physical stamina are valuable; Emotional stability to deal with pressing deadlines; Computer skills and proficient in all forms of multimedia; Knowledge of news photography; With valid CNMI driver's license. |

Comments: | This job opportunity is temporary, full time position. Three-Fourths Guarantee: Workers will be offered employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays of the total period that begins with the first workday after the arrival of the worker at the place of employment or the advertised contractual first date of need, whichever is later, and ends on the expiration date specified in the work contract or in its extensions, if any. Transportation and Subsistence: If the worker completes 50 percent of the work contract period, the employer will provide, reimburse, or advance payment for the worker's transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for the worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker's voluntary abandonment of employment.
