Job Title: | Elementary/Secondary School Teacher |
Job Duties: | This position is for an Elementary School Teacher. TEACHING AND FACILITATING – 25 Hours – 62.5% • To teach and facilitate in accordance to the set objectives of the school curriculum. • To monitor and instruct students in the use of learning materials. • To provide extra help for students' struggling academically. PLANNING AND PREPARATION OF LESSONS AT SCHOOL OR OUT OF SCHOOL – 5 Hours – 12.5% • To plan and give support to ESL students with relevant subject matter that will enhance their academic achievement in the English Language. • To prepare classroom for daily class activities. • To provide necessary technology to enhance learning objectives. • To plan, organize, and prepare a learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill not only their academic potential but also their spiritual walk with the Lord. ASSIGNING AND GRADING STUDENTS' WORK – 2 Hours – 5% • To give assignments relevant to the objectives of the Curriculum. • To grade all assignments, class works, tests, and to provide appropriate feedback on their work. • To provide diverse learning material and resources for use in educational activities. GENERAL ADMINISTRATIVE WORK – 3 Hours – 7.5% • To maintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and development as required by law and the school regulations. • To communicate with the principal and parents of strength and weaknesses on students' academic performances. • To set up meetings with parents and teachers in order to communicate students’ developmental progress. • To participate in daily morning prayers and teachers meeting. CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT – 2 Hours – 5% • To observe, evaluate, and encourage students' learning progress and performance. • To manage students' behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing classroom rules and procedures. • To maintain discipline and measures in accordance with the set school rules and disciplinary methods and system of the school. EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES – 3 Hours – 7.5% • To participate in school assemblies and prepare certain ministerial duties such as giving a Biblical message, encouraging students and counseling them in academic problems. • To participate in extracurricular activities such as community and social activities, sporting activities and various students' body organized activities • After-school Care |
