Job Title: | Maintenance and Repair Workers, General |
Job Duties: | Repairs and maintains physical structures of commercial and industrial establishments such as office buildings, apartment, houses using hand and power tools. Replaces defective electrical switches and other fixtures. Paints structures and repair woodwork with carpenter's tools. Repairs plumbing fixtures. Repairs plaster and lays bricks. Perform landscaping and other related miscellaneous works. Repairs or replace defective equipment parts using hand tools and power tools and reassemble equipment. Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly , building system operate efficiently or the physical condition of the building does not deteriorate. Inspects motors, and belts, check fluid levels, and other parts of machinery, replace filters, or perform other maintenance actions following the checklist. Use tools ranging from common, hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoist, saws, drills and wrenches. Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blue prints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as necessary. Other related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned. |

Comments: | The job opportunity is temporary, full time position commencing on October 01, 2022 to September 30, 2023. THREE FOURTHS GUARANTEE: Workers will be offered employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three-fourths of the work days of the total period that begins with the first work day after the arrival of the worker at the place of employment or the advertised contractual first date of need, whichever is later, and ends on the expiration date specified in the work contract or in its extensions, if any. TRANSPORATION AND SUBSISTENCE: If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, the employer will provide, reimburse, or advance payment for the workers transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for the workers reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker's voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved.
