Job Title: COOK
Job Duties: Prepare and cook larger quantities of food for institutions, such as schools or cafeterias. Clean cut and cook meat, fish or poultry. Cook food items according to menus, special dietary or nutritional restrictions or numbers of portions to be served. Clean and inspect galley equipment, kitchen appliances and work areas to ensure cleanliness and functional operation. Direct activities of one or more workers who assist in preparing meals. Take inventory of food supplies and equipment. monitor menus and spending to ensure that meals are prepared economically. Inspect facilities, equipment or supplies to ensure conformance to standards. Determine meal prices, based on calculations of ingredient prices. Plan menus that are varied, nutritionally balanced and appetizing, taking advantage of foods in season and local availability. Train food preparation of food service personnel. Prepares requisition of food supplies, kitchen equipment and appliances based on estimates of future needs. May perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualification Requirements: Preferably with job related skills experience in cooking large quantities and big batches of food for serving. Must be knowledgeable with regards to standard food safety requirement when it comes to handling, preparation and cooking of food and menu. Must be able to lift at least 45 pounds at a time and can work on flexible or an early morning shift. Will Consider foreign equivalent High School Diploma or GED.

Comments: Anticipated schedule of work hours is from 2:00 am to 9:00 am from Monday to Friday. Workers are offered employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays of the total period that begins with first workday of employment up to the expiration of the contract. Workers will be provided transportation and subsistence while traveling from the worker's origin to the place of employment as well as the return transportation and subsistence to the point of hire at the conclusion of job opportunity.
