Job Title: Line Service Technician
Job Duties: Summary of Duties: Manage and coordinate the activities of ground crew in aircraft ground servicing, fuel servicing, customer service, fire safety, loading, unloading, securing, and staging of aircraft cargo or baggage and passengers. Specific Tasks: •Provides initial and recurrent instruction for Fire Safety in accordance with the requirements of Title 14 139.321(b)(1) through (b)(6) and 139.321(e)(2) of the U.S. Code of Federal Regulations, and the company’s General Operations Manual (GOM). •Responsible for the implementation of the company’s Spill prevention control and countermeasures plan (SPCC) in accordance with Title 14 part 112 of the U.S. Code of Federal Regulations. •Provides guidance to appropriate personnel for matters relating to the company’s policy on Hazardous Materials (Hazmat) including conferring with agents, pilots, shippers, and other personnel in the acceptance of Hazmat on board the aircraft, conducting regular inspections, and audit of hazmat records. •Oversees aircraft refueling operations in all refueling facilities of the company to include completion and maintenance of required fuel and equipment logs/paperwork, fuel-sumping, and regular fuel quality control inspections. •Provides initial and recurrent Hazmat training as required by governmental directives. •Ensures that line service operations, and practices meet federal, state, and agency requirements. •Assists arriving customers by meeting aircraft on tarmac, directing pilots to unloading area, and towing/parking aircraft to assign locations and providing shuttle services to/from airport, hotels and restaurants. •Coordinates with various Station and Cargo leads to ensure safe handling, loading, unloading of cargo and baggage in the aircraft. •Monitors safety practices and procedures on the ramp, and makes necessary recommendations to the President for policy creation, change, or improvements. •Responds to customer concerns and provides solutions as necessary. •Ensures that ground service, fueling, and hangar equipment/supplies are in a safe working manner. •Serves as Senior management in absence of operations manager or general manager.

Qualification Requirements: •Must have 12 months work experience as a Line Service Technician or a similar occupation. •Demonstrate ability in operating the Internet, Windows, and Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel. •Experience working for a US Air Carrier as defined in Title 14 Part 119 of the U.S. Code of Federal regulations. •Must possess a Professional Line Service training certificate from an organization accredited by the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration. •Knowledge in provisions of the Hazardous Materials Regulations (HMR) found in appropriate portions of Title 49 and Title 14 of the Code of Federal Regulations, the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), and the International Air Transport Association (IATA) highly preferred. •Physically able to lift items of at least 50 lbs. •Able to perform work outside and in extreme temperatures and inclement weather.

Comments: •The job opportunity is a temporary, full-time position commencing on October 01, 2022 to September 30, 2025. •Three-Fourths Guarantee: Workers will be offered employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays of the total period that begins with the first workday after the arrival of the worker at the place of employment or the advertised contractual first date of need, whichever is later, and ends on the expiration date specified in the work contract or in its extensions, if any. •Transportation and Subsistence: If the worker completes 50 percent of the work contract period, the employer will provide, reimburse, or advance payment for the worker’s transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for the worker’s reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker’s voluntary abandonment of employment.
