| Job Duties: | Manipulate muscles and other soft tissues to relieve pain, reduce stress and improve general well-being. Discuss the symptoms, medical history, and expectations with the client, and then determine the best techniques or modalities, to use. Many types of modalities are available, such as Swedish, Deep-Tissue, rolling, and Sports. May use hands, fingers, or arms, elbows, and feet to knead the body, and they may apply lotions and oils. May work in brightly lit settings with several clients such as for sports treatments, or with an an individual in a darkened room accompanied by candles and music to relieve stress. |
