Job Title: | Maintenance and Repair Workers |
Job Duties: | Must have knowledge in plumbing, electrical, thresholds, window locks and door hardware, carpenter finishing and general construction related. Perform journey level of carpentry work including the construction, installation, remodeling and repairing of cabinets, partitions, walls, windows, doors, roofs, foundations, and other carpentry works. Inspect facility to identify the maintenance needs. Install, maintain and repair a variety of floor coverings such as carpeting, tiles, linoleum and wood, and roof covering such as composition, rolled and shingle. |

Qualification Requirements: | Must be a High School graduate or equivalent. At least twelve (12) months continuous experience as maintenance worker. Knowledge of operational characteristics of mechanical equipment and tools to use. Knowledge of basic building maintenance practices and procedures; principals and procedures of record keeping. Must meet physical requirements to perform duties such as lifting objects of at least 25 to 50 pounds, with or without assistance of a hand truck or another person. Bending and standing for duration of shift. Ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull or carry heavy object. Ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules. Must know how to operate hand and electrical tools such as adjustable wrenches, drain or pipe cleaning equipment, hex keys, levels, pipe or tube cutter, must be able to work on weekends or night shift if needed. No training required. |

WORK HOURS: Employees hired under this announcement will work on full time employment of at least thirty-five (35) hours per week. THREE-FOURTHS GUARANTEE: Workers will be offered employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays of the total period that begins with the first workday after the arrival of the worker at the place of employment or the advertised contractual fist date of need, whichever is later, and ends on the expiration date specified in the work contract or in its extensions, if any. INBOUND/OUTBOUND TRANSPORTATION AND SUBSISTENCE: The employer shall pay for all inbound transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract, or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for worker’s reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker’s voluntary abandonment of employment. |
