Job Duties: | USE NETS FISHING RODS TRAPS OR OTHER EQUIPMENT TO CATCH AND GATHER FISH OR OTHER AQUATIC ANIMALS FROM RIVERS, LAKES OR OCEANS FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION OR OTHER USES. TASKS INCLUDE: STEER VESSELS AND OPERATE NAVIGATIONAL INSTRUMENTS PUT FISHING EQUIPMENT INTO THE WATER AND ANCHOR OR TOW EQUIPMENT ACCORDING TO THE FISHING METHOD USED MAINTAIN ENGINES, FISHING GEAR AND OTHER ON-BOARD EQUIPMENT AND PERFORM MINOR REPAIRS SORT PACK AND STORE CATCH IN HOLDS WITH SALT AND ICE AND REMOVE CATCHES FROM FISHING EQUIPMENT AND MEASURE THEM TO ENSURE COMPLIANCE WITH LEGAL SIZE. |

Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses repair, and maintenance. |

Comments: | MARISLAND FISH INC., dba DJ FISH MOBILE is looking to fill three (3) Fishermen position in Saipan, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. Work will be performed only at Susupe Beach Across Multipurpose Center in Saipan, Northern Mariana Islands, and within CNMI waters. This is a TEMPORARY, full-time position and we are looking to fill these job openings for employment from 10/01/2022 to 09/30/2025. Terms & Conditions of Employment: Workers will be paid no less than $14.15 per hour. Overtime will be paid at a rate of 1.5 time’s base hourly rate. The employer will offer 35 hours of work per week, depending on weather conditions. Work on weekends may be required. Hourly work schedule is 06:00a.m to 2:00p.m. Transportation: The employer will not provide daily transportation to and from the worksite locations in Saipan. If the worker completes 50 percent of the work contract period, the employer will reimburse the worker for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for the worker’s reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker’s voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Board, Lodging, or Other Facilities: The employer will not provide board, lodging, or other facilities. Tools Equipment & Supplies: The employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job. Three-Fourths Guarantee: The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period. Miscellaneous: The employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages due. Workers will be paid bi-weekly by check. The employer will make all the payroll deductions from the worker’s paycheck required by federal and local law and will not make any deductions which are not required by law. The employer will not provide on-the-job training.
