Job Title: Civil Engineering Technician
Job Duties: Confer with other personnel to resolve design or operational problems. Confer with technical personnel to prepare design or operational plans. Create graphical representations of civil structures . Estimate operational cost. Estimate technical or resource requirements for development or production project, inspect facilities or sites to determine if they meet specification standards. Prepare detailed work plans , prepare operational reports, prepare project budgets. Review technical documents to plan work. Develops project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans conferring with management. Determine project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements assigning personnel to phases and elements. Determine project specification by studying product design, customer requirements and performance standards completing technical studies. Preparing cost estimates. Determines project schedule by studying project plan and specifications, calculating time requirements sequencing project elements . Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress. Coordinating activities resolving problems . Controls project plan by reviewing design, specifications and plan and schedule changes, recommending actions. Maintain safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules and regulations. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Qualification Requirements: Education: minimum US diploma required*. Associate's Degree. Must have 12 months of work experience. Confer with technical personnel to prepare design or operational plan. Create graphical representation of civil structures. Estimate operational cost, technical or resource requirements for development or production project. Inspect facilities or sites. Prepare detailed work plan,operational report, project budget and project proposal. Must be proficient in reading construction drawing and specifications computer literate and proficient in using MS Word (Excel Word) Autocadd and other related program.

Comments: The job opportunity is a TEMPORARY, full-time position commencing October 1, 2022 to September 30, 2023. Terms & Three-Fourths Guarantee: Workers will be offered employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays of the total period that begins with the first workday after the arrival of the worker at the place of employment or the advertised contractual first date of need, whichever is later, and ends on the expiration date specified in the work contract or its extension, if any. Transportation and Subsistence: If the worker completes 50 percent of the work contract period, the employer will provide, reimburse or advance payment for the worker’s transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for the worker’s reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker’s voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily Transportation: Workers will be provided with daily transportation to and from the worksite. Board, Lodging, or Other Facilities: Workers will be provided with board, lodging or other facilities and/or employer will assist workers in securing board, lodging or other facilities. Tools Equipment & Supplies: The employer will provide workers at no charge all tools supplies, and equipment required to perform the job. Miscellaneous: The employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages due. Workers will be paid bi-weekly by check. The employer will make all the payroll deductions from the worker’s paycheck required by Local CNMI and Federal Tax law. The Employer will NOT provide worker On-the –Job training for this position.
