Job Duties: | Responsible for preparing all food items, based on standardized recipes for the restaurants, room service, employee cafeteria and banquets, while maintaining the highest standards to produce an appealing and appetizing product. Must observe and enforce strict requirements with regard to food safety. Duties include sautéing, poaching, baking, grilling and sauce preparation, as well as working with broilers, fryers, grills, ovens and stove-top-cooking. Responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, sanitation and safety in the kitchen and work areas while minimizing waste and maximixing cost/production ratio.Responsible for preparing classic Japanese methodswhile providing an entertaining experiece to the presentation of the meal thru guest interaction and skills with various cooking utensils and pieces of equipment. |

Qualification Requirements: | Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Have at least six months of work related experience. Able to have knowledge of supplies, equipment, and inventory control. Ability to follow routine verbal and written instructions. Ability to understand and follow safety Procedures. Ability to safely use cleaning equipment and supplies. Ability to lift and manipulate heavy supplies of up to 50lbs. Knowledge of food service line set-up and temperature requirements. Ability to multi-task and work under pressure. Be able and willing to work in flexible shifts, days, evening, night, weekend and holidays. |
