Job Duties: | Prepare and cook food in deli/restaurant establishment with a limited menu. Duties of the cooks are limited to preparation of a few basic items and normally involve operating large-volume single-purpose cooking equipment. Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas. Clean food preparation areas, cooking surfaces, and utensils. Operate large-volume cooking equipment such as grills, deep-fat fryers, or griddles. Verify that prepared food meets requirements for quality and quantity. Read food order slips or receive verbal instructions as to food required by patron, and prepare and cook food according to instructions. Wash, cut, and prepare foods designated for cooking. Cook the exact number of items ordered by each customer, working on several different orders simultaneously. Plans menu for each day to be served to customers ensuring kitchen supply is enough. Keep kitchen in neat and orderly fashion. Does other related duties as assigned from time to time. |

Qualification Requirements: | High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Prior experience in related food and beverage service and food preparation positions of at least 12 months. Thorough experience with hot and cold food preparation. Good working knowledge of accepted sanitation standards and health codes. Ability to use slicers, mixers, grinders, food processors, etc. Able to handle work in a fast-paced environment. Must pass cooking skill test during interview process. The skill testing/comprehension exam is required equally of both US and Foreign workers. Must be able to work weekends and holidays on short notice. |
