Job Title: Construction Laborer
Job Duties: Perform tasks involving physical labor at construction sites. May operate hand and power tools of all types, may clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, set braces to support the sides of excavations, erect scaffolding and clean up rubble, debris and other waste materials. Read plans, instruction or specifications to determine work activities. Install masonry materials; pour materials into or on designated areas; mix substances or compounds need for work activities; smooth and finish surfaces of poured concrete such as floors, sidewalks or curbs using a variety of hand and power tools; install plumbing or piping, electricity and heating or cooling systems along with putting in floors and shingles; apply had tiles, marble and wood tiles to walls, floors, ceilings and roof decks; operate pumps or compressors; install insulation in equipment or structures; maintain construction tools or equipment; build, repair and maintain walls, doors and framework; construct wall units and base cabinets; install, maintain and repair electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures; maintain and repair machines, equipment and general maintenance of establishments.
High School Diploma Required? Yes
Qualification Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent; Must have at least 12-months of experience as construction laborer and/or similar job occupation. Must have physical agility and dexterity. Must meet physical requirements to perform duties such as lifting objects of 50 pounds, with or without assistance of a hand truck or another person. Bending and standing for duration of shift. Ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull or carry heavy objects. Ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules. Ability to read technical manuals and drawings and possess knowledge of basic mathematics principles and construction laws. Must know how to operate hand and electrical tools such as adjustable wrenches, drain or pipe cleaning equipment, hex keys, levels, pipe or tube cutter, pipe wrenches, power drills, power saws, pullers, screwdrivers, etc Must agree to a post-offer pre-employment drug screening test and random drug testing applied equally to both CW-1 & U.S. citizen workers. Must be able to report to work on flexible hours including holidays, weekends and night shifts.
