Job Title: Store Sales Supervisor
Job Duties: Job Title: Store Sales Supervisor Reports to: Store Sales Manager or Director of Sales & Marketing – PRI Objective: As the store services the needs of two broad markets: Account Sales and Store Sales this position incorporates functionality in both a store sales environment and the understanding of the administrative processes that support the store’s overall sales. It requires direct oversight of personnel to train and motivate them to achieve store goals. This is a leadership position requiring hands on working knowledge of the various store processes. General Duties: Store: • Able to function independently as a team leader to guide, motivate and train store sales associates and others to provide the products and services to our customers. This includes, but not limited to: o Mixing and color matching (a developed skill) paint; o Recommending products appropriate for a customer’s project (requires constant product training); o Addressing any customer issues that may arise; o Taking of special orders o Working knowledge of store’s point of sale system Administrative: • Oversees Store Sales Associates daily duties and work schedules • Works with Account Sales Manager to ensure best service to process account sales; • Keeps Account Sales Manager informed of all issues related to such sales; • Efficiently staffs the store in order to provide the best customer service given human resource limitations; • Works with all staff to develop product orders; • Lead and works with Sales & Marketing coordinator: o for the placement of orders (special or regular stock) o digital / social media development • Recommend ways to improve customer service and value; • Works with Manager or Director: o On training, customer service standards and performance evaluations of all staff; o Hard store improvements o Store layout of merchandise o Sales & Margin goals • Ensure that a current electronic library of various documents commonly needed such as Product Data Sheets, Material Safety Data Sheets, Installation Guides, Warranties etc. is provided for all staff for reference and customer distribution • Leads the store in maintaining accurate inventory counts and shall from time to time conduct spot checks to verify and correct such counts; • Assist in various projects as directed. • From time to time, conduct competitive market research and relay information back to team; • Maintain good working knowledge of top selling products; • Participate in hands on training of products or processes as deemed necessary and from time to time; • Work in cooperation with team members to ensure smooth sales flow; • Complete tasks as assigned Necessary skills / traits / experience: • Must have excellent communication skills (written and verbal) • Ability to work under pressure; • Aptitude to learn and retain information; • Willingness to work in a team environment; • Able to lift 50+ lbs from time to time • Good working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint; • Ability to work on weekends or holidays; • Must have good reliable transportation;
