Job Title: Demi Chef
Job Duties: Supervises, coordinates and participates in activities of cooks and other kitchen personnel engaged in preparing and cooking food in the restaurant: Estimates food consumption, and requisitions or purchases food stuffs Receives and examines foodstuff and supplies to ensure quality and quantity meet established standards and specifications. Select and develops recipes based on type of food to be prepared and applying personal knowledge and experience in food preparation. May supervises personnel engaged in preparing, cooking and serving meats, sauces, vegetable, soups, and other foods. Cooks or otherwise prepare food according to recipe.
High School Diploma Required? Yes
Qualification Requirements: 12 months of experience as a Demi Chef or other related field is required. Food Handler Certification is required.

Applicants may be interviewed for the job opportunity Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m. Hourly work schedule is 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. If the worker completes 50 percent of the work contract period, the employer will reimburse the worker for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for the worker’s reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker’s voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Three-Fourths Guarantee: The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period. Miscellaneous: The employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages due.
