| Job Duties: | Perform variety of food preparation other than cooking such as clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, utensils, dishes, or silverwares; store food in designated containers and storage areas to prevent spoilage; portion and wrap the food, or place it directly on plates for service to patrons; take record of temperatures of food and food storage areas; prepare variety of foods, such as meat, vegetables or deserts, according to customers orders; wash and peel and cut various foods such as fruit and vegetables to prepare for cooking or serving. Cut, slice or grind meat, poultry, and sea food to prepare for cooking, stir and strain soups and sauces; butcher and clean fowls, fish, poultry and shellfish to prepare for cooking or serving; prepare and serve variety of beverages, such as coffee, tea and softdrinks', make special dishes and condiments; mix ingredients for green salad and molded fruit salad, vegetable salads and pasta salads; use manual or electric appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foods; remove trash in kitchen garbage containers; receive food supplies, equipment and utensils in refrigerators, cupboards and other storage areas; weigh and measures ingredients; add cutlery, napkins, food and other items on trays assembly line in hospitals, cafeterias, and airline kitchens; assemble meal trays with food in accordance with patients diet; distribute menus to hospital patients; collect diet sheets, and deliver food trays and snacks to nursing units directly to patients, scrape left over from dishes into garbage containers; load dishes, glasses and tableware's' into dishwashing machines; operate cash register, handle money and give correct change; keep records of quantity of food used, vacuum dining area, sweep and mop kitchen floor; inform supervisors when equipment are not working properly; assists cooks and kitchen staff with various tasks as needed. |

| Fringe Benefits: | Three-Fourths Guarantee: Workers will be offered employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays of the total period that begins with the first workday after the arrival of the worker at the place of employment or the advertised contractual first date of need, whichever is later, and ends on the expiration date specified in the work contract or in its extensions, if any. Transportation and Subsistence: If the worker completes 50 percent of the work contract period, the employer will provide, reimburse, or advance payment for the worker’s transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for the worker’s reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker’s voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. |
