Job Duties: Constructs, erects, installs and repairs structures and fixtures using such materials as wood, wallboard or drywall. Reads blueprints, sketches, or building plans to determine type of work required, layout and materials needed erects framework for structure and lays subfloor board. Erects scaffolding or ladders for assembling structures. Builds and/ or install partitions, doors framework, stairs, mantles, cabinets or other wooden fixtures. Install structures or fixtures, such as windows, frames flooring, trim, framing squares and surveying equipment to ensure everything is level and secure. Finishes surface of woodwork or wallboard in houses or buildings.
