| Job Duties: | Performs any combination of the foll:duties to maintain and repair property of municipalities using variety of machines, tools and equipment. Receives written work orders or verbal instructions from municipal administrator. Cut grass and trim weeds on the property and parks using lawn mower and weed trimmer. Digs flower beds and plant flowers using gardening tools. Constructs decorative flower garden borders from weed using hand tools. Cleans and washes windows and empty trash cans using brooms, cleaning supplies and floor polisher. Put interior and exterior walls and trims using paint and painting tools. Drives trucks and loads fallen trim limbs. Delivers refuse to land fills. Repairs streets and sidewalks with asphalt, cold patching materials and concrete using shovel, hand tools, trowel levels. Maintains and repairs municipal buildings plumbing and electrical systems including replacing worn or defective parts such as switches and fuses. Repairs & replaces building brick, stone & concrete. Maintains & repairs wood parts of buildings using carpenter tools. Replace worn & damages parts such as hoses, wiring & belts in machines & equipments such as truck and riding mower. Hand washes vehicles. |
