Job Title: Gas Appliance Servicer 49-9031.00
Job Duties: Installs and repairs gas meters, regulators, ranges, and heaters using hand tools and pipe-threading tools. Measures, cuts, and threads pipe and connects it to feeder line and equipment or appliance, using rule, pipe cutter, threader, and wrench. Tests and examines pipelines and equipment to locate leaks and faulty pipe connections and to determine pressure and flow of gas using hand tools and soap lather. Dismantles and replaces and/or fixes defective LP gas installations. May also provide technical recommendations on the use of LPG, deliver LPG to customers, collect monthly or overdue payments and perform other related duties.

Qualification Requirements: Employer Preference:Must have at least two years experience Must be highly competent and knowledgeable on gas appliance repairs and installations Must be highly competent and knowledgeable on LPG regulations and DOT safety standards Must have a valid Hazmat certificate Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills Must be honest, hardworking and dependable O-Net: Title Job Zone Three: Medium Preparation Needed Overall Experience Previous work-related skill, knowledge, or experience is required for these occupations. For example, an electrician must have completed three or four years of apprenticeship or several years of vocational training, and often must have passed a licensing exam, in order to perform the job.
