Job Title: Accountant
Job Duties: Analyze financial information & prepare financial reports to determine or maintain record of assets, liabilities, profit & loss, tax liability or other financial activities within the organization. Maintain & analyze budgets, prepare periodic reports that compare budgeted cost to actual cost. Prepare, examine or analyze accounting records, financial statements or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness & conformance to reporting & procedural standards ensuring timely financial reporting to the Accounting Manager & the President. Review accounts for discrepancies & reconcile differences. Prepare adjusting journal entries. Establish table of accounts & assign entries to proper accounts. Analyze business operations, trends, cost, revenues, financial commitments & obligations to project future revenues & expenses or to provide advise. Receives general guidance from the Accounting Manager & performs complex accounting duties with high level of independence & professional discretion to fulfill the accounting needs of the company. Prepare employees payroll, employer's withholding & federal tax return & preparation, filing & remittances, review submitted time sheets for proper accounting distribution & accuracy. Prepares required monthly, quarterly & annual tax filing for CNMI & Federal Government Tax Authorities. Maintains professional & technical knowledge by attending educational workshop, reviewing professional publication; establishing personal networks; participating professional societies. Substantiates financial transactions using audited documents & performs other related duties as assigned.
High School Diploma Required? Yes
Qualification Requirements: Must have 48 months of experience as an Accountant. Must have Bachelor's Degree from accredited college or university. Experience in progressive professional-level of accounting. Special knowledge, skills & abilities: computer literate with specialized knowledge in Microsoft Program (excel, access, outlook & word) & Accounting Software (QuickBooks & Peachtree). Knowledge in preparation of tax return, budget forecast, business & financial reports, billing & collections, payroll & budgeting duties. Able to adhere to & meet reporting deadlines & can work with minimum supervision. Must ha a good communication skill & can compose correspondence. Make logical & sound decision in the resolution of difficult & complex situation.

Comments: Anticipated schedule of work hours is 8:00am to 5:00pm (with one (1) hour lunch break). Workers are offered employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays of the total period that begins with the first workday of employment up to the expiration of contract. Worker will be provided transportation & subsistence while traveling from the worker's origin to the place of employment as well as the return transportation& subsistence to the point of hire at the conclusion of the job opportunity.
