Job Duties: | Works on all shipboard electrical circuits and components to include AC/DC motors, generators, voltage regulators, special frequency generators, motor controllers, HPAC’s, LPACS, Air Conditioning systems, alarm circuits, and electrical distribution systems. Works on company-owned electrical equipment to include generators and industrial machinery. Works on removal and installation of electrical circuits, and identifies and tags wires for removal and reconnection. Conducts installation of new circuits to include wiring, panels, fuse panels/boxes, switches, and lighting fixtures. Installs and removes electrical components onboard ship to include but not all-inclusive lighting, receptacles, switches, alarms, and electrical circuits. Works on AC/DC circuits with voltages ranging 12VDC to 480VAC. Repairs motors and generators, replaces bearings, conducts balancing of all rotors and mechanical rotating equipment, conducts initial and final operational testing, records all testing parameters. Conducts mechanical removal and installation of various types of motors and generators and electrical equipment. Disconnects and reconnects electrical motors, generators, voltage regulators, motor controllers, distribution panels, and fuse panels. Installs electrical wirings to all applicable electrical circuits and components. Be able to operate and use various basic hand tools and trade specific test equipment and tools to include multimeters, meggars, clamp on ammeters, surge testers and balancing equipment, etc. Performs other duties as assigned. Performs work on customer’s vessels in the Commercial Port of Saipan, NMI. |

Comments: | The job opportunity is a temporary, full-time position starting on December 1, 2022 and ending on September 30, 2023. Workdays will be Monday to Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Employer will provide the worker with daily transportation to and from the worker's residence to work site. At the worker's option, the Employer will assist the worker in securing housing consisting of a bedroom with shared bathroom, shared kitchen, & shared living room/dining space at a monthly rate, excluding utilities, of $200 per bedroom or $100 if 2-person shared bedroom. The worker is responsible for paying for the cost of the housing. No deduction will be made from the worker's pay for the housing. THREE-FOURTHS GUARANTEE: Workers will be offered employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays of the total period that begins with the first workday after the arrival of the workers at the place of employment or the advertised contractual first date of need, whichever is later, and ends on the expiration date specified in the work contract or in its extensions, if any. TRANSPORTATION AND SUBSISTENCE: If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, the Employer will provide, reimburse, or advance payment for the worker’s transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the Employer will provide or pay for the worker’s reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the workers originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the Employer has appropriately reported a worker’s voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved.
