Job Title: | Maid and Housekeeping Cleaner |
Job Duties: | Perform any combination of light cleaning duties to maintain private households or commercial establishments, such as hotels and hospitals, in a clean and orderly manner. Duties may include making beds, replenishing linens, cleaning rooms and halls, and vacuuming. Keep storage areas and carts well stocked, clean, and tidy. Carry linens, towels, toilet items, and cleaning supplies, using wheeled carts. Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas so that health standards are met. Empty wastebaskets, empty and clean ashtrays, and transport other trash and waste to disposal areas. Sweep, scrub, wax, or polish floors, using brooms, mops, or powered scrubbing and waxing machines. Replenish supplies, such as drinking glasses, linens, writing supplies and bathrooms items. Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies, using vacuum cleaners and shampooers. Wash windows, walls, ceilings, and woodwork, waxing and polishing as necessary. Dust and polish furniture and equipment. Disinfect equipment and supplies, using germicides or steam operated sterilizers. Report supplies or equipment needed for cleaning duties. Other related duties as may be assigned. |

Qualification Requirements: | MUST HAVE AT LEAST 3 MONTHS WORK EXPERIENCE IN THE SAME OR SIMILAR FIELD. KNOWLEDGE OF CLEANING AND SANITATION PRODUCTS AND SUPPLIES, TECHNIQUES AND METHODS. MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN PREPARING CLEANING SOLUTIONS SUCH AS MIXING WATER AND DETERGENTS OR ACIDS IN CONTAINERS ACCORDING TO SPECIFICATIONS. KNOWLEDGE OF CLEANING SENSITIVE MATERIALS. KNOWLEDGE OF OPERATING CLEANING EQUIPMENT E.G. VACUUM CLEANER, SWEEPER, BROOM, ETC. KNOWLEDGE ON SAFETY AND PRECAUTION IS A PLUS. PHYSICAL STAMINA AND MOBILITY INCLUDING ABILITY TO REACH, KNEEL AND BEND, SQUAT, LIFT, PUSH AND PULL REQUIRED LOAD (USUALLY ABOUT 25 LBS.). MUST BE ABLE TO WORK ON FLEXIBLE HOURS INCLUDING WEEKENDS, HOLIDAYS, AND NIGHT SHIFTS. Comments: | This job opportunity is a temporary, full-time position. Three-Fourths Guarantee: Workers will be offered employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays of the total period that begins with the first workday after the arrival of the worker at the place of employment or the advertised contractual first date of need, whichever is later, and ends on the expiration date specified in the work contract or in its extensions, if any. Transportation and Subsistence: If the worker completes 50 percent of the work contract period, the employer will provide, reimburse, or advance payment for the worker's transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for the worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker's voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved.
