Job Title: Chef de Partie
Job Duties: Resolve customer complaints regarding food service. Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas to ensure efficient service and conformance to standards. Supervise and participate in kitchen and dining area cleaning activities. Recommend or initiate personnel actions, such as promotions, transfers, or disciplinary measures. Plan work schedules and assign duties to maintain adequate staff for effective performance of activities and response to fluctuating workloads. Control inventories of food, equipment, supplies and report shortages to designated personnel. Comply with safety and health regulations for federal and local laws. Specify food portions and courses, production and time sequences, and workstation and equipment arrangements. Observe and evaluate workers and work procedures to ensure quality standards and services. Estimate ingredients and supplies required to prepare a recipe. Participate in the assessment of operational problems and establishment of procedures to alleviate these problems. Recommend measures for improving work procedures and work performances to increase service quality and enhance job safety. Participate in meetings and collaborate with other personnel for menu planning, serving arrangements and related details.
High School Diploma Required? Yes
Qualification Requirements: High school diploma/GED. At least 12 months of working experience, have knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services in meeting quality standards and evaluation of customer satisfaction. Have some knowledge of international cuisine. Able to work flexible shifts, weekends and holidays and may be required to work overtime on occassion with department needs. Requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 30 lbs., bending and reaching, stooping, keeling or crouching. Completion of apprenticeship is preferred.

This a temporary, full-time position of at least 35 hours per work week with employment period beginning March 01, 2023 to February 28, 2026. THREE-FOURTHS GUARANTEE for Employment offered is for a total number of work hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays of the total period of employment specified in the work contract, beginning with the first workday after the arrival of the worker at the place of employment or the advertised contractual first date of need, whichever is later, and ending on the expiration date specified in the work contract or in its extensions, if any (20 CFR 655.423(f)). Frequency of pay: Bi-weekly, subjected to mandatory payroll tax deduction required by law (20 CFR 655.423(h). Deductions: Employer provided housing is optional for the cost of $100.00 per month (20 CFR 655.423(f)). Transportation and subsistence will be provided to the worker from the place of origin to the place of employment. Upon conclusion of the job opportunity, employer will provide the return transportation and substance to the place of origin or place of recruitment (20 CFR 655.423(j)(1)).
