Job Title: Refrigerator Technician
Job Duties: Install climate control systems, refrigeration units, and beverage equipment at the stores. Braising, soldering or welding parts to repair defective joints and leaks; Observe and test newly installed systems. Connect electrical wiring between controls and equipment following the wiring diagrams. Maintain freon systems and other small appliance systems. Troubleshoot refrigeration equipment failures. Keep records of repairs and replacements made and causes of malfunctions; Access and resolve PLC wiring and peripherals faults. Perform weekly, monthly, and yearly preventive maintenance. Estimate, order, pick up, deliver, and install materials and supplies needed to maintain equipment in good working condition; Perform all HAZMAT procedures for the emergency response pertaining to the ammonia refrigeration systems. Adjust valves according to specifications and charge system with the proper type of refrigerant by pumping the specified gas or fluid into the system. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualification Requirements: •High School graduate •With 24 months of work experience. •Knowledgeable in reading and interpreting blueprints and compliance schematics. •Knowledgeable of refrigeration and cooling systems. •Has braising, soldering, and welding skills. •Knowledgeable in inspecting equipment and identifying causes of errors and defects. •Has advanced mechanical and diagnostic skills.

Comments: The employee that will be hired will be offered employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays of the total period that begins with the first workday after the arrival of the worker at the place of employment or the advertised contractual first date of need, whichever is later, and ends on the expiration date specified in the work contract or in its extensions, if any. If the employee completes 50 percent of the work contract period, the employer will provide, reimburse, or advance payment for the worker’s transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the employee is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for the employee’s reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the employee originally departed to work, except where the employee will not return due to subsequent employment. The employer or where the employer has appropriately reported an employee’s voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved.
