Job Title: STRUCTURAL METAL FABRICATORS & FITTERS
Job Duties: Verify conformance of workplaces to specification, using squares, rulers, measuring tapes. Align and fit according to specifications, using jacks, tambuckles, wedges, drift pins, pry bars and hammers. Move parts into position manually or with hoists or cranes. Position align, fit , weld parts to form complete units and sub units following blueprints and layout specifications, and using jigs welding torches and hand tools. Study engineering drawings and blueprints to determine materials requirements and tasks sequences. Set up and operate fabricating machines, such as brakes, rolls, shears, flame cutters grinders and drill presses to bend cut, form, punch drill or otherwise form and assemble metal compenent. Lay out and examine metal stock or workplaces to be processed to ensure that specifications are met. Tack, wled fitted parts together. Lift or move materials and finished products, using large cranes. Remove high spots and cut bevels, using hand files, portable grinders and cutting torches. Mark reference points onto floors of face blocks and transpose them to workplaces, using measuring devices, squares, chalk and soapstone. Set up face blocks, jigs and fixtures. Position or tighten braces, jacks, clamps to pieces or built straps or bolt parts in position for welding or riveting. Locate and mark workplace bending and cutting lines, allowing for stock thickness, machine and wearing shrinkage and other component specifications. Erect ladders and scaffolding to fit together large assembles

Comments: This job opportunity is a temporary full time position. Workdays: Monday to Friday. Work hours. 8 am to 4 pm. With this position the employer also offers three fourths guarantee as required by 20 CFR 655 423 (f) wherein three fourths is defined as an offer to workers full time employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays of each 12 week period( or 6 week period if the employment covered by the job is lass than 120 days). Transportation and Subsistence Costs. If the Employee completes 50% of the work contract the Employer will provide or reimburse the workers transportation and subsistence costs from the place of recruitment to the place of work.
