Job Title: Groundskeeper/Landscaper Supervisor
Job Duties: Performed work related to manage nurseries that grow horticultural plants and for display or exhibition, or for research. Identify plants as well as problems such as diseases, weeds, and insect pests. Tour work areas to observe work being done, to inspect crops, and to evaluate plant and soil conditions. Assign work schedules and duties to nursery or greenhouse staff, and supervise their work. Determine plant growing conditions, such as greenhouses, hydroponics, or natural settings, and set planting and care schedules. Performed work related to supervisory level in the hotel industry of plantations and landscaping design. Highly experience to plant, spray, weed, fertilizer, and water plants, shrubs, and trees, using hand tools and gardening tools. Harvest plants, and transplant or pot and label them. Clean work areas, and maintain grounds and landscaping. Sow grass seed, or plant plugs of grass in the hotel premises or designated property. Apply chemical solutions to plants to protect against disease or insects or to enhance growth. Transport animals, crops, or equipment. Harvest agricultural products.Performed related work to operate vehicles and powered equipment, such as mower, tractors, twin-axle vehicles, chain saws, electric clippers, sod cutters, and pruning saws. Move or edge lawns, using power mowers, edger or bush cutters. Rake leaves and debris from walks, driveways, or parking lots. Care for established lawns by mulching, aerating, weeding, grubbing, removing thatch, or trimming or edging around flower beds, walks, or walls. Use hand tools, such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, saws, hedge or brush trimmers, or axes. Prune or trim trees, shrubs, or hedges, using shears, pruners, or chain saws. Gather and remove litter and maintain or repair tools, equipment, or structures, such as buildings, greenhouses, fences, or benches, using hand or power tools. Mix and spray or spread fertilizers, herbicides, or insecticides onto grass, shrubs, or trees, using hand or automatic sprayers or spreaders. Provide proper upkeep of sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, fountains, planters, or other grounds features. Perform other tasks or special projects assigned by Engineering Management.
High School Diploma Required? Yes
Qualification Requirements: Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Have at least three (12) months of work-related experience in Groundskeeping and Supervision. Able to demonstrate specific skills: 1. Operation & Control- Controlling operations of equipment or system. Physically capable to lift 50 lbs. and able to work outdoors exposed to extreme weather conditions. Must have a valid driver's license to operate company vehicles. Be able and willing to work flexible shifts, days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
