Job Duties: PERFORM ANY COMBINATION OF LIGHT CLEANING DUTIES TO MAINTAIN HOTEL ROOMS AND ESTABLISHMENT, IN A CLEAN AND ORDERLY MANNER. DUTIES MAY INCLUDE MAKING BEDS, REPLENISHING LINENS, CLEANING ROOMS, RESTROOMS AND HALLWAYS, VACUUMING AND SHAMPOOING CARPETS, WASHING AND DRYING OF LINENS, WITH THE USE OF CARPET CLEANING EQUIPMENT, FLOOR POLISHERS, FLOOR WASHING MACHINE, LAUNDRY WASHERS AND SPECIFIED CLEANING CHEMICALS. KEEPS ALL LOBBIES AND PUBLIC FACILITIES (SUCH AS LOBBY RESTROOMS, TELEPHONE AREA, THE FRONT DESK, AND OFFICES) IN A NEAT AND CLEAN CONDITION. PROMOTES A POSITIVE IMAGE OF THE PROPERTY TO GUESTS AND MUST BE PLEASANT, HONEST, FRIENDLY AND SHOULD ALSO ABLE TO ADDRESS GUEST REQUESTS AND PROBLEMS. IDENTIFY STAINED OR DAMAGED ITEMS AND DETERMINE STATUS FOR REPAIR, SPOT TREATMENT, REWASH, OR DISCARD. INSPECT CLEANLINESS OF ARTICLES REMOVED FROM THE WASHER, DRYER, OR DRY CLEANING MACHINES AND PLACE IN CLEAN LINEN CARTS. FOLD CLEANED ARTICLES INTO DESIGNATED SIZE, EITHER BY HAND OR USING FOLDING MACHINE. MAINTAIN ACCURATE RECORDS OF ITEMS LAUNDERED INCLUDE OUTSOURCING SERVICE ITEMS. IDENTIFY AND REPORT PREVENTATIVE OR OTHER MAINTENANCE ISSUES IN PUBLIC AREAS OR GUEST ROOMS. POST CAUTION SIGNS. CONTACT CALL OPERATOR DIRECTLY FOR URGENT REPAIRS. DELIVER GUEST REQUESTS AND SET UP FURNITURE ITEMS IN GUEST ROOMS AS REQUESTED. REMOVE ITEMS FROM HALLWAYS AND TRANSPORT TO SERVICE AREAS, INCLUDING DEBRIS, ROOM SERVICE FOOD AND BEVERAGE TRAYS, UNREAD NEWSPAPERS, SOILED LINENS, AND TRASH PLACED NEAR HOUSEKEEPER CARTS. FILL CART WITH SUPPLIES AND TRANSPORT CART TO ASSIGNED AREA. ENTER GUEST ROOMS FOLLOWING PROCEDURES FOR GAINING ACCESS AND ENSURING VACANCY BEFORE ENTERING. REPLACE GUEST AMENITIES AND SUPPLIES IN ROOMS. REPLACE DIRTY LINENS AND TERRY WITH CLEAN ITEMS. MAKE BEDS AND FOLD TERRY. CLEAN BATHROOMS. REMOVE TRASH, DIRTY LINEN, AND ROOM SERVICE ITEMS. CHECK THAT ALL APPLIANCES ARE PRESENT IN THE ROOM AND IN WORKING ORDER. STRAIGHTEN DESK ITEMS, FURNITURE, AND APPLIANCES. DUST, POLISH, AND REMOVE MARKS FROM WALLS AND FURNISHINGS. VACUUM CARPETS AND PERFORM FLOOR CARE DUTIES (E.G., IN GUEST ROOMS AND HALLWAY). FOLLOW COMPANY'S LOST AND FOUND PROCEDURE. ORGANIZED HOUSEKEEPING STORAGE ROOM. CLEAN, MAINTAIN, AND STORE CLEANING EQUIPMENT. CLEAN PUBLIC AND EMPLOYEE RESTROOMS AND SHOWERS. CLEAN GLASS IN PUBLIC AND EMPLOYEE AREAS. CLEAN FLOOR SURFACES IN PUBLIC OR EMPLOYEE SPACE USING DESIGNATED CHEMICALS, SUPPLIES, AND EQUIPMENT. DUST SURFACES IN ASSIGNED AREA. EMPTY TRASH CONTAINERS, ASHTRAYS, AND ASH URNS IN PUBLIC AREAS INTO PROPER CONTAINERS. INSPECT CONDITION OF FURNITURE FOR TEARS, RIPS, AND STAINS AND REPORT DAMAGES. CLEAN AND MAINTAIN LIGHTS. POST CAUTION SIGNS TO LIMIT TRAFFIC WHEN NECESSARY. CONTACT OTHER DEPARTMENTS DIRECTLY FOR URGENT REPAIRS. RESPOND PROMPTLY TO REQUESTS FROM GUESTS AND OTHER DEPARTMENTS. IDENTIFY AND REPORT PREVENTATIVE OR OTHER MAINTENANCE ISSUES IN PUBLIC AREAS OR GUEST ROOMS. REPORT AND RETURN ANY GUEST PROPERTIES FOUND IN THE ROOMS WHILE RENDERING SERVICE. REPORT CASES OF PROPERTY DAMAGE TO SUPERVISOR. RUNS HOUSEKEEPING SHIFTS WHENEVER NECESSARY. ABLE TO OPERATE OPERA AND MICROS MATERIAL CONTROL. ANSWER TELEPHONES USING APPROPRIATE ETIQUETTE.

Qualification Requirements: HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA/GED. KNOWLEDGE OF CLEANING HOTEL GUEST ROOMS AND PROPER USE OF CLEANING AGENTS. ATTENTION TO DETAIL. PHYSICAL STRENGTH AND STAMINA TO WORK EXTENDED PERIODS. ABILITY TO MAINTAIN CONFIDENTIALITY. BE ABLE AND WILLING TO WORK IN FLEXIBLE SHIFTS, WEEKENDS AND HOLIDAYS, AND MAY BE REQUIRED TO WORK OVERTIME ON OCCASSION WITH DEPARTMENT NEEDS. REQUIRES STANDING AND WALKING FOR EXTENDED PERIODS, LIFTING UP TO 10-25 LBS, BENDING, STOOPING, PUSHING, KNEELING OR CROUCHING. HOTEL/RESORT EXPERIENCE PREFERRED.

This a temporary, full-time position of at least 35 hours per work week with employment period beginning June 1, 2023 to May 31, 2024. THREE-FOURTHS GUARANTEE for Employment offered is for a total number of work hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays of the total period of employment specified in the work contract, beginning with the first workday after the arrival of the worker at the place of employment or the advertised contractual first date of need, whichever is later, and ending on the expiration date specified in the work contract or in its extensions, if any (20 CFR 655.423(f)). Frequency of pay: Bi-weekly, subjected to mandatory payroll tax deduction required by law (20 CFR 655.423(h). Transportation and subsistence will be provided to the worker from the place of origin to the place of employment. Upon conclusion of the job opportunity, employer will provide the return transportation and substance to the place of origin or place of recruitment (20 CFR 655.423(j)(1)).
