Job Title: | Civil Engineering Technologists and Technicians |
Job Duties: | • Calculate dimensions, square footage, profile and component specifications, and material quantities, using calculator or computer. • Read and review project blueprints and structural specifications to determine dimensions of structure or system and material requirements. • Draft detailed dimensional drawings and design layouts for projects to ensure conformance to specifications. • Confer with supervisor to determine project details such as plan preparation, acceptance testing, and evaluation of field conditions. • Analyze proposed site factors and design maps, graphs, tracings, and diagrams to illustrate findings. • Prepare reports and document project activities and data. • Inspect project site and evaluate contractor work to detect design malfunctions and ensure conformance to design specifications and applicable codes. • Conduct materials test and analysis, using tools and equipment and applying engineering knowledge. • Develop plans and estimate costs for installation of systems, utilization of facilities, or construction of structures. • Develop project budgets by estimating the cost of project activities. • Plan and conduct field surveys to locate new sites and analyze details of project sites. • Other work related with the job. |

Comments: | The job opportunity is a temporary, full-time position commencing on the anticipated date of work on 06/20/2023 to the anticipated closing date of employment on 06/19/2024. THREE-FOURTHS GUARANTEE: Workers will be offered employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays of the total period that begins with the first workday after the arrival of the worker at the place of employment of the advertised contractual first date of need, whichever is later, and ends on the expiration date specified in the work contract or in its extensions, if any. TRANSPORTATION AND SUBSISTENCE: If the worker completes 50 percent of the work contract period, the employer will provide, reimburse, or advance payment for the worker’s transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for the worker’s reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker’s voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical or reasonable common carrier for the distances involved.
